Italy is renowned for its world famous cuisine and eating with family and friends is something all Italians enjoy. This is a tradition we observe at Palazzola, where everyone sits down together and our guests quickly become friends across the table. It is one of the delights of staying here. Meals are all served at set times with set menus, although we can also cater for special diets and allergies, but these must be pre booked.
In summer lunch is served under the trees on the garden terrace, always a lovely experience and great for the appetite. Whether eating al fresco or in the lovely oak-panelled refectory, meals at Palazzola are a delight. Here you will experience good honest fare leavened with fine company, lively chat and much laughter. All our food is prepared on the spot using the freshest of local ingredients and served with delicious local wines. Because our full board rates are such good value it takes all the hassle out of deciding where to eat or what to buy. And of course if you want to try a local trattoria we can recommend the best of those nearest to Palazzola.
Menus change regularly according to what's in season and what's freshest at the market that day, here's a sample:
At Villa Palazzola we have set meal times. Breakfast is between 8am and 9am, lunch at 1pm and supper at 7.30pm. We do not cater for meals outside of these hours. If, however, you are departing on an early flight you may request a packed breakfast. We do not, unfortunately, have any other facilities for obtaining food other than at our set meal times, so please make sure you consider this when planning your arrival and departure times.
Portions are generous so don't worry, you won't go hungry at Palazzola.
No Italian meal is complete without a glass of wine and we serve white wine, red wine and fruit juice with lunch and dinner each day, at no extra charge. Our cool, fresh white wine comes from Frascati while our red is a robust wine from Marino, one of the Castelli towns close to Frascati.
