Palazzola is just 18 miles/29 Kms south of Rome and sited in 16 acres of oak, chestnut and pine woodlands. The Villa nestles high up on the shores of Lake Albano, an extinct volcano with the papal palace of Castel Gandolfo on the far side of the lake. Palazzola has superb views of the city of Rome and the Mediterranean Sea in the distance.
Its spectacular location far from the noise and bustle of the city means the Villa can offer unrivalled peace and serenity to all who stay here.
Nearby are the delightful towns of Frascati, Rocca di Papa and Nemi, part of the Regional Park known as the Castelli Romani (Roman Castle towns) with protected woodlands and nature trails while further afield are the Mediterranean seaside towns of Ostia, Nettuno, Fregene Torvaianica and Anzio. For day trips see Going to Rome and other day trips.
Palazzola is easily reached by taxi, bus and train from Rome, from Ciampino airport which is close by or from Fiumicino airport. See How to get here.
